San Francisco police are investigating a possibly suspicious death discovered in the city’s Bernal Heights neighborhood this morning, a police spokeswoman said.
Firefighters responded around 9:30 a.m. to a medical call in the 500 block of Peralta Avenue and found a body there, police spokesman Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
Fire officials notified the Police Department that the death was possibly suspicious and homicide investigators took over the case, although the death has not been ruled a homicide, Newman said.
The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause of death in the case, she said.
