Even with all these damning details, his union rep is still tippy toeing around him. I guess that is why the badge wearing tenant in our building (who actually lives elsewhere) was so brazen about giving his apartment key to the tenant that my mother told him that she hoped not to have unnecessary contact with because they were the family of her husband’s murderers. Not only did he sadistically give his key to that apartment to hold so my mother had to deal with them more in order to do post arson repairs in the so-called cop’s apartment but he also lied (recorded) when confronted and said he had been there everyday for postarson repairs so he never gave his key to the gangsters’ family.

Badge isn’t an automatic sign of good character.

Capt. Lisette Adams, who heads the union representing Sheriff’s Department management, said she isn’t sure what department policy is on spending time with people who may be involved in criminal activity, but noted that common sense should steer officers away from such encounters.

“But the key is,” she said, “don’t do anything stupid.”

Kim did not return calls for comment.
