But I don’t know if I like the idea of the Weekly and Guardian sharing an owner. I think their adversarial relationship has mostly been a good thing, although it’s been a little overly antagonistic at times. (Thank god the predatory pricing lawsuit is over so we don’t have to see more of those 1000+ word screeds from both sides about obscure legal maneuvers.)

Although it Vogt invested in beefing up the Weekly’s news coverage it might be worth it. The Snitch blog does some great work, and they do some great cover stories (when they’re SF focused), but the fact that they’re only printing one page of other news stories now is kind of sad.
