Mar has actually spent taxpayer dollars to send a flier to everyone’s home trying to imply he helps people in the neighborhood who want a neighborhood school get it, but it’s a lie. A woman, Camile She, claimed that it was thanks to his leadership she could send her kids to school in the neighborhood. People get that and are like, what? It’s an obvious, intentional lie.

60% of the Richmond was for neighborhood schools. We don’t want our children on buses and being driven far, exhausting parents and kids and breaking up our community. Mar showed a lack of integrity in sending out that flier. We know better. The money has little to do with it. Mar might have won District 5 or another, but not the Richmond. His school policy hurt thousands of Richmond District residents and motivated many volunteers. The money is secondary to the neighborhood schools/integrity issue.
