Promoters are not evading the law. The Entertainment Commission just got the registration page up and running a few weeks ago. Prior to that, there was not a public process available for promoters to register.

The registration site is confusing at best, and with little or no support you are on your own to figure out if you did it correctly. I attempted to register upon the release of the site, but I’m still not listed. SF Ent Comm is blazing a path with this new legislation. I completely support it, but it isn’t easy to comply with a registration system that did not exist prior to 2012.
