A one-alarm fire at a home in San Francisco’s Ingleside neighborhood has been extinguished this afternoon, according to a fire spokeswoman.
The fire was reported at 11:19 a.m. at a house in the 1000 block of Capitol Avenue, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.
Crews arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the building and had to cut a hole in the roof to attack the fire, Talmadge said.
The blaze was called under control at 12:04 p.m., she said.
One firefighter was taken to a hospital with a cut to the hand, Talmadge said. No other injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting five adults displaced from the home, she said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
