A package in San Francisco’s Mission District initially thought to be suspicious has been deemed harmless tonight, police said.
The suspicious object, described by police as a suitcase chained to a pole, was located near the intersection of 20th and Valencia streets, police said.
Officers determined the package was harmless around 9:40 p.m., according to police.
