The San Francisco Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting on Treasure Island this morning.
As of 11 a.m., Officer Grace Gatpandan said that police personnel had established a media staging area at a parking lot just past the main gate of Treasure Island.
Further details about the time and circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
Due to police activity, the California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert for Interstate Highway 80 on the Bay Bridge at 9:47 a.m.
The eastbound off-ramp to Treasure Island and the westbound on-ramp from Treasure Island have both been blocked, as has the No. 5 westbound lane of the highway.
