A teenage boy who escaped from a juvenile detention facility in San Francisco on Monday evening was taken back into custody early this morning, a police spokesman said.
The 17-year-old escaped sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. from the Juvenile Justice Center in the 300 block of Woodside Avenue, according to police.
He was found shortly after midnight on Treasure Island, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.
