A 23-year-old man was shot in his calf Wednesday night in San Francisco’s Mission Bay neighborhood, police said.
Officers received a report of shots fired around 8:20 p.m. and were directed to the intersection of Third and 16th streets, near University of California at San Francisco’s Mission Bay campus.
Upon arrival, police located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his calf. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Police have not taken any suspects into custody and a possible motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
