Hundreds of San Francisco Giants fans will be at AT&T Park later this week to participate as extras in commercials for the team’s upcoming season.
The Giants put out a request today for fans to participate in a series of commercials being filmed between Wednesday and Friday.
Before the end of the day, all 1,200 spots had been filled for each of the three days of filming and registration was closed, according to team officials.
Thousands of fans will also be at the ballpark Saturday for the Giants Fan Fest, a free event where fans can interact with players and coaches, walk on the field or have their first opportunity to buy 2014 single-game tickets.
The event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, with tickets going on sale beginning at 8 a.m. More information can be found online at http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/sf/fan_forum/fanfest.jsp.
