President Barack Obama will travel to the Bay Area on Friday to address the U.S. Conference of Mayors in San Francisco and attend Democratic fundraisers, according to White House officials.
Obama is scheduled to arrive at San Francisco International Airport on Air Force One shortly before 1 p.m. Friday.
He is scheduled to address the 83rd annual meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel on Friday afternoon. The conference, hosted by San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, will discuss the economic health of U.S. cities.
Obama is also scheduled to attend fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee while in San Francisco, according to the White House.
DNC officials said their event will be a roundtable at the home of venture capitalist Shervin Pishevar, with around 30 supporters attending and donating $33,400 each.
Obama will be staying overnight in San Francisco before departing from SFO around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, White House officials said.
