The guy who brought you The Bucket List is responsible for this latest entry in the “mature” comedy genre. And I mean mature in the sense that the stars are older than the cast of the your average Twilight movie. Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton star as divorced parents who have to fake that they are still married at their son’s wedding. It’s based on a French movie, so maybe that explains it. Katherine Heigl is also in it. Are we done hating her yet?
Matthew McConaughey, (Seriously? That’s how you spell that?), stars in this movie that, every time I see the trailer, I think of another movie called Undertow, which was also set in the south, was also centered on an adolescent boy, and starred Josh Lucas, who while not technically Matthew McConaughey, basically is Matthew McConaughey. Reese Witherspoon also stars, which makes her recent drunken arrest either the best or worst timed arrest in celebrity history.
A comedic crime movie based on a kind of horrible true-life story about a gang of bodybuilders who extorted, kidnapped, tortured, and murdered in Miami. HILARIOUS! Mark Wahlberg and The Rock star. OF COURSE THEY DO. Michael Bay directed it, so some shit’s bound to blow up at some point.
Everyone’s British boyfriend Colin Firth stars as man who fakes his own death in order to start a new life. Into this new life enters a woman, (Emily Blunt), who is also trying to leave her past behind. Two ridiculously good looking people getting it on? See you there! I’ll buy the popcorn!
