A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Tuesday night, police said.
The shooting was reported at 11:45 p.m. near the corner of Third Street and LaSalle Avenue, police said.
The victim, a 34-year-old man, was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle when a gray four-door Chevrolet Impala with tinted windows drove by and at least one of its occupants opened fire, police said.
The victim was shot in the shoulder. His friend tried to drive him to a hospital but they were stopped by police along the way. He was then taken to a hospital by ambulance and is expected to survive.
The suspect or suspects in the shooting remain at large.
