NBC started filming the pilot for their new San Francisco based series “Trauma“, which is slated to be an action-packed drama about EMTs. And, apparently some pretty pissed off Bay Bridge commuters. It brings to mind the classic zombie horror movie line “send more paramedics” — but the show, if it follows through with its contract, is set to being in at least $7 in cold hard revenue to The City, and put plenty of SF actors and extras looking for a few bucks in business. We’re just excited to see them blow shit up and make SF look like a hotbed of hot paramedics in the meantime.

So far the cast includes Derek Luke (“Notorious”), Cliff Curtis (“10,000 B.C”), Anastasia Griffith (“Damages”), Aimee Garcia (“George Lopez”), Kevin Rankin (“Friday Night Lights”) with Jamey Sheridan (“Law & Order: Criminal Intent).
Lucky for us, friend and talented local photographer T. Shane waited around for 4 hours to get these terrific (and staged) gas tanker truck crash and explosion pics from the the King Street offramp of 280. Hey — it’s happened here before, and it’s always better when it’s for entertainment purposes. And fire totally makes up for the expected, sadly limited celebrity stalking opportunities.
