Push aside any thoughts of wasting your money on that Khal Drogo-lite “Conan the Barbarian” remake. Instead, get thee to CounterPULSE this weekend and delve into the world of ancient nomadic horseman through artistic, structured improv of every kind imaginable.
Erika Tsimbrovsky and Vadim Puyandaev, via their company Avy K Productions, present “Rustling Silk” this weekend as part of CounterPULSE‘s Summer Special series. The pair continue their work with their signature “audio-visual-kinetic” approach of live music, dance, music, painting–that’s right, dearies. I said LIVE PAINTING–projections, and who knows what else.
With the elements of chance and WTF running wild, no two performances will ever be the same. Go see “Rustling Silk” with an open mind and partner with Tsimbrovsky and Puyandaev as they explore our current nomadic ways with those of our “uncivilized, aggressive, and constantly moving” “forgotten past.”
What: Avy K Productions’ “Rustling Silk”
When: August 26-27, 8PM
Where: CounterPULSE, 1310 Mission St
Tickets: $15-$20, online
