Has everyone recovered from their Noise Pop hangover? No? Cool. Though this week saw the tail end of NP2K15 slowly making its exit like a particularly long Caribou outro, the weekend seems poised for energy and oddity. Onward!
Friday: Just when you thought the odd gaggle of furries at that aforementioned Caribou show had surpassed your faux zoo quota, TRAVISWILD returns with one of his Animal Parties. Everything about the DJ is ferocious. Hell, his “business partner” is a dinosaur. Shake of the seriousness of actually going to shows to critique them like the discerning ear that you are and unwind in pure animalistic movement.

Saturday: Rapper and activist B Dolan is the nice slice of serious artistry you’d need after recovering from a long night of listening to “animal house” or whatever it is TRAVISWILD calls his tunes. Flying high off the release of his third House of Bees mixtape, B Dolan is at the top of his game, mixing spoken word with acoustic instruments and driving industrial beats, essentially crafting his own parallel dimension. B Dolan’s world, while at times just as bleak as our’s, certainly sounds better. Give it a listen.
