At The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts last night, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence held the opening party for their 30-year anniversary of immaculate conception. And it was packed! Revelers in exquisite finery squeezed into the giant space amongst Sisters dressed in their most glamorous finery — which I’ll assume is their “around the house” look. The perfection of makeup and dress was overwhelming, as you’ll see in the clip below:
The vibe was warm, welcoming and loving: no matter who you were, you felt like community. Everyone was smiling and exuberant, and I’ve not been in a room so full of friendly and complimentary people in a long time. The glamorous and “seriously” fun events celebrating the Sisters and their work continue through the weekend and into next week.
